Gift Wrapping

One of my favourite parts of going to a wedding is the gift and how I wrap it. I have done gift baskets to using a boa as stuffing around the gift. I know that typically the presentation gets destroyed within minutes but I still love doing it. Plus I like having the pretty present in the pile. And who knows, maybe when I get married I will take pictures and put them in an album of all the pretty wrapped gifts. So at my latest wedding I had a really great idea for wrapping my gift. I documented it […]

Cream Corn… Anyone?

I have a new recipe that I have tried from Pinterest. This recipe is for Cream Cheese Corn. Here is the link from the original recipe. http://www.thetwobiteclub.com/2013/11/baked-cream-cheese-corn-with-crumbled.html?m=1 The only change I did was add Okra to the dish. Easy Baked Perogies and Vegetables

So here is an easy recipe that I did today. I was going to make fried perogies, when I found this suggestion on the back of my Cheemo Perogies. On the package it suggested to bake the Perogies in a soup or pasta sauce. So I decided to do it in a soup. Below is my first try at it this that turned out pretty good. Ingredients: Perogies Frozen Vegetables 1 Can of Cream of Mushroom Soup (use only half can water) Shredded Cheddar Cheese Directions: Heat oven to 350°F Take a baking dish (I use glassware) , put in […]

Define my Creative Terms

My line of art is photography. I am in no way a professional but I really enjoy it. Overall though I appreciate all arts. I appreciate artists that make custom jewelry that sells on the street to the greats like Leonardo da Vinci. I think that everyone one has the potential for being creative and being artistic. Even if it’s only a stick figure or sticking your right foot in and shaking it all about. You have to use your wonderful human brain (Right/Left brain and synapses) to do those things. I have been going to Color Me Mine a […]

Experiment: Marinating

I am very lazy when it comes to doing new recipes. I just don’t have the time or resources to experiment on food. Plus I like quick recipes. Well this week I decided to try a new marinating recipe, due to a friend’s dinner she served me. Marinade: Whiskey Garlic BBQ sauce. Ingredients: 1 shot of whiskey about cup of BBQ sauce 2 tsp of Minced garlic So I mixed the above and put about 4 tablespoons of the mixture with 3 pieces of chicken thighs in a ziplock bag. (The leftovers I put in other bags and with other chicken, to […]

Project Completed: Squeaky Clean

Lately I have been really into Pinterest. The only problem is I actually don’t end up doing anything I pin. So I decided to put my mind to it and finally do a project! Project: Make your own cleaner! So instead of the typical, vinegar, essential oils and water combination, the twist was you “make your essential oil” as well. In this post is how I went about and did this DIY project. Like a typical science experiment I also put my observations and outcomes, And what I think I should do differently. (I have put the links that I saved […]

How Clean is Your Contigo?

So just a short story today about cleaning my Contigo travel mug. First I love my Contigo. I use it for water and hot beverages. I tend to only drink my hot beverages at a certain temperature, Not Hot but warmer then warm. Well in a paper cup or mug that temperature could only last a minute, BUT with my Contigo it lasts for like an hour. Or at least feels that way. Okay enough with the plug about Contigo, I’m sure you get how I love it. Now on to the story. I used my travel mug the other […]
