Project: Lemon and Salt

I have had a few DIY cleaning solutions and at home recipes come up in my feed lately. And this one in particular I was interested in because I actually did something similar a few years ago. So lets try a new project! Okay so occasionally I get in my feed at home cleaning solutions or how to use your food scrapes.Sometimes they look like they could work, others seem to good to be true (Looking at you 5-minute Crafts). When this one about Lemons cleaning came up I was like sure lets try it, especially since there was a leftover […]

Mission: The Public Bathroom

Public Bathrooms are a necessary but not an enjoyable adventure. Though some are just fine using the communal lou, for others its a process. You got the squatters, the tons of toilet paper as a layer, the sanitizers or maybe you do it all. Though one of my favourite bathrooms I went to had a button on the floor that moved a plastic layer for a clean seat. Anyway point of my story is some of us like a little protection. And one thing I like is toilet seat covers. I do see them more in the States then in […]

Mission: Gluten Free Stuffing

Let’s talk about Stuffing. That wonderful seasoned crumbed bread that you have with a delicious turkey. Or if you are like me can eat on its own for a full carb treat. Oh so good! The problem though is some of us are intolerant or allergic to that perfect food and need other options. But Stuffing is just not that easy to replicate in a Gluten-Free way. Our household though has been on the hunt for a stove top version for a while. We have tried a couple of different ones over the last few years and some have been […]

TurboTax and Canada Workers Benefit: An intuitive story

Okay so this review is going to be more about an experience I had with TurboTax and the Canada Workers Benefit. For those who don’t know about the Canada Workers Benefit, it is a credit you can get if you or your family is low income (Made $32244 or less in 2021). TurboTax is great for those who are not trained in taxes, it makes it really easy especially since […]

Where’s the Ramen?-Gluten Free Style

Lets talk about ramen! We like ramen, whether from a restaurant or going into our pantry for making it at home. It is really a comfort food. A problem though is the most common ingredients in ramen is wheat, which doesn’t work in a gluten intolerant household. But we are always on the lookout for gluten free products around here, so when we found a gluten free Ramen at Costco we had to try it. The Product: Lotus Foods Organic Millet and Brown Rice Ramen. This product is gluten free, vegan and organic. Now according to their website FAQ it […]

My 2020 Words of Wisdom

As this crazy year closes, we can see there were many lessons and things we endured. From that I have 3 random thoughts that help with the day to day 🙂 Take the glasses of water to the kitchen that are sitting on the bedside table Change out of your sleeping PJs when you get up, yes even if its into your day PJs  With long straight hair, always use a hairbrush while you blow-dry your hair, it helps with the knots. Yes its simple words, but those of my random thoughts of wisdom 😛

Buying Iced Tea

Let’s talk about Iced Tea! This might sound a little strange but I am extremely picky when it comes to iced tea in its different forms. I like it in different ways, whether bought powdered, liquid, frozen concentrate or from a soda fountain, that to me doesn’t matter. It really comes down to my taste buds. So when it comes to powered iced tea I like Nestea Iced Tea. Plain and simple. But for some reason many of the stores in my area do not carry the original product anymore. Many are made with other sweeteners. Though these other options […]

Bath Time In a Small Tub

Lets talk about baths! I live in an apartment that has a bathtub but it’s a short tub. I like baths especially after a busy week. Or after a cold day outside, especially when it gets to minus 20 Celsius. The problem with short tubs is the overflow drain will not let you be nice and snug under those warm waters. So what do you do? Do you cover it with your foot? Do you fill the tub as high as you can and enjoy the deeper waters for a few seconds? Well there is a smarter way! You buy […]
